The URL for an Authority Document is incorrect or broken
The links we provide are to the location of the documents we mapped when we mapped them. The mapper, the reviewer, and the approver all used the link of record to discover and identify the mapped document. It is truly a record of historical fact and provides a legal chain of custody for our actions.
If the link changes, that could mean the document has been relocated or it could mean the document is new or different – we don’t know without re-mapping the document first.
Our requirements are strict, dictated by the lawyers, and is the only way to keep the UCF legally defensible.
Either way, any search engine can quickly find the new location and/or document.
