Do the Common Controls Change?
The Common Controls (CCs) - (a security control that is inherited by one or more organizational information systems) are constantly being added as new concepts and verticals are mapped into the UCF. Today, we are heading towards 17,000 controls mapped to over 1,000 active Authority Documents. In addition to adding new CCs, other maintenance functions may impact the Common Controls associated with the Mandates from the Authority Documents you selected. You can read more about the impacts below:

Details on Common Control Modifications
We have also launched a public tracking board to see if the Common Controls you map to are impacted.
But rest assured, the maintenance changes do not have a material impact. They are improvements for even better alignment of the Common Controls to Mandates. If you do not refresh after a maintenance change, your mapping will still stand the test of accurate harmonization.
Note: If you have any questions about the changes and would like more details, please contact our product support team at support@unifiedcompliance.com
